All students at the Watsonia Campus, and the Upper Primary students at the Bundoora Campus, participate in formal library sessions.
The libraries at both Campuses provide modern and inviting learning spaces. They have comprehensive collections of books, notebook computers and iPads for students to source information and use it to complete research projects and assist with other subject areas. The library program aims to develop an appreciation of literature and develop skills in research and library usage.
In the literature programme, students experience a wide selection of literature both classical and contemporary – this includes folk tales and fables, myths and legends, fairy tales, traditional tales, ballads, poetry and Aboriginal stories. A variety of activities such as author profiles and creative writing are also undertaken.
